What is Adopt-A-Spot

The City of Tshwane is looking to the public to help enhance public spaces. The Adopt-A-Spot programme encourages public and business involvement in maintaining parks and public spaces by cutting grass, removing illegal dumping, and managing alien vegetation. With this initiative, they aim to address ecological degradation and safety issues and to foster partnerships within communities. City of Tshwane-owned properties capable of being privately maintained are appointed to these programmes, where exclusive rights are granted to adopters with no financial support.
